Well, I'm not a snowboarder but I love skiing. I'm assuming you are hitting either Summit or Stevens?

My home mountain is Crystal. I usually don't get too excited until after hunting season gets going and I see the snow start flying. Usually mid November.

Hoping for a good snow year.

Most likely Stevens, I work in the morning in Monroe and will probably head up after.

I really want to go to Whistler once this year.

Crystal I'll hit if it's still open spring break because college discount.

I hit Baker last year after a huge snow storm and they closed most of the lifts. My son and I were on the only lift running that's slightly sheltered from the high winds. We had top to bottom fresh pow runs with nobody else on the hill. Everybody was camped out in the lodges and most couldn't get up to the one lift that was running. :-)

I go up to whistler a couple times a year, I’m originally from vancouver so grew up on the slopes of whistler. Such an amazing mountain.

I'm ok with snowboarders who know their limits. Too many go on slopes too difficult for them and need to turn sideways and scrape slowly down and take all the powder off and leave ice behind.

Love snowboarding, but sadly don't get up much due to the growing expenses and proximity for me which is at least 90 minutes each way.

Around here the best terrain and snow IMO is White Pass, back area.

Never cared for Snoqaulmie or Stevens, and Crystal is average.

I would definitely consider a guys trip to Whistler.

From Monroe Stevens would be great and Mt Baker definitely a great place to go also. If you can find a rare sunny day at Mt Baker the scenery is really just unbelievable. The views of Mt Shuksan, the Shuksan Arm, and Mt Baker are really unbelievable. Sun Peaks in Kamloops is also a great resort (note that I'm a skier not a snowboarder).

This next year planning to go to Mammoth Mountain after Memorial Day for a mix of resort and backcountry skiing followed by Timberline at Mt Hood in July for race/gate training on alpine gear. If lucky, might squeeze in a trip to ski in Santa Fe in late March or early April.

I've been boarding at 20 resorts in 2 countries and several states (New Zealand, resorts and heliboarding, and WA/UT/CO/CA/NV). Aside from heliboarding, best place I've ever been was Lake Tahoe hands down. The snow, scenery, variety was all amazing.

About the only place within reason I'd like to try is spending a week in British Columbia - proximity and reputation.

My ski friends have mixed reviews of the Swiss Alps. Gorgeous, of course, but not as modernized as US resorts (at least not 10 years ago, maybe now). So small slow lifts, and not the terrain parks and stuff Americans like.

Since I live on White Pass half the year I do not have to think to hard about where to go but not on a board...all I do on one of those is fall down.

Have to agree Lake Tahoe is amazing. My first ski resort job was at Sierra-At-Tahoe, back then was a small, privately owned resort called Sierra Ski Ranch. Have skied all over Tahoe and lots of great back country skiing/snowboarding as well. One of the great things about Tahoe is the choice of North Shore vs South Shore.

Young and ready to party after skiing, South Shore is your bet with casinos and dance clubs on the Nevada side. Access to Heavenly, Sierra-At-Tahoe, and Kirkwood in Carson Pass. Looking for a more relaxed, laid back, experience then go for the North Shore with access to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Donner Summit, Sugarbowl, and Diamond Peak (among other smaller resorts as well).

Don't overlook a trip to Mammoth. Three hour drive south of the Reno airport through beautiful scenery. Best terrain park in the country. Gondola and 30 chairs, outstanding lift system and grooming, nice small resort town. Everything from beginner to cry for mommy double black rock lined chutes. Skiing always lasts until Memorial Day with extension to 4th of July any year that the snow-pack allows. Then again I'm a bit partial to Mammoth as I worked there teaching skiing full time. Side bonus of incredible back country skiing in Yosemite Park and probably 50 miles of the Sierra Nevada east side both north and south.

One of the best aspects of the Sierra Nevada is the spring skiing and snow conditions. Sunny, clear weather leads to freezing conditions at night, thawing during the day for several weeks (or months) creates spring corn snow. Once it starts to thaw in the morning it's a dream to ski on. Typically occurring in late March and April (or later if you ski at Mammoth).

One of my bucket list trips is Kicking Horse Resort in the Northern Canadian Rockies.

I can't wait for the season to start either. I go with my son to Crystal Mountain because kids 10 and under ride free. We just rent his board and boots. The snow here is wet heavy, or icy and crusty. Montana has some great snow, and real nice powder.

Crystal is interesting. If you are towing a green, blue or high intermediate skier it is difficult to find good stuff if it's not a killer day. Once they get further up the mountain or side country it can be very good when it's crap down on resort runs.

I grew up skiing Mission Ridge and that is definitely a great small ski resort in good snow years. A little bit of hiking gets you some great pow runs.

Whistler can be good but wow...expensive.

It was reported recently on KOMO that some large resort group just bought Crystal. I can see prices going up.

Looks like the season pass prices are the same, but yeah, it will be interesting. I keep waiting for the Hotel and the new lifts then the prices are sure to go up substantially.
