One of his posts also indicated he comes from a broken family. Probably multiple issues adding up here.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's a tough one. It's difficult to tell from the limited reports how his parents divorce was playing out. Was the dad in denial about his son's mental state or was his mom overzealous when playing the victim card? Did he really need those drugs or was it just part of the divorce manipulation? Where I'm coming from: In junior high my best friend was committed to a mental health facility, drugs included. His parents were going through a divorce and his mom just wanted him to talk to someone. He really didn't need 'help' but his dad was pretty high up with Toyota and had excellent health insurance. After the insurance money dried up he was magically cured and hasn't been on medication since. It was a total sham. I also know two people that take, or have taken, anti-psychotic drugs to limit seizures. They both have/had a totally fine mental state, something was just misfiring causing the seizures. Both are shooting buddies and I've never worried about them while handling guns.

If someone is so dangerous they can't own a gun then they shouldn't be walking around free. They should be charged with a crime or committed to a mental institution.
Dangerous people will simply rent uhaul trucks and fill them with garbage or fluids or any other number of things. The problem is never the item, there are always more types of items you can never predict. The problem is the PERSON.

So reports say long term mental issues. So then how did he get the guns? https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/apnew ... li=BBnb7Kz

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Nope. But I think the whole "prohibited person" thing is ridiculous. Focusing on a tool of destruction does nothing. Focus on the person doing the destroying and you might actually get somewhere. Does that mean I think released felons should be able to own guns? Yep, sure does. If they're so dangerous we don't trust them with a gun, then what in the everloving fuck are they doing out on the street, where they have access to cars, knives, baseball bats, axes, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, and all other manner of killing machines? The tool is inanimate. Focusing on it is the lazy way out and accomplishes zero.

Very likely a case of Munchausen by Proxy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Factitious_disorder_imposed_on_anotherQuote: ...a condition where a caregiver develops a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behavior, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation. ...unlike Munchausen syndrome...the deception involves not themselves, but rather someone under the person's care... Some experts consider it to be an elusive, potentially lethal, and frequently misunderstood form of child abuse

I would like to know how recently he was on psych meds...
The dirty secret, that's not really a secret, mince it's on a sticker of nearly every bottle of Psych Drugs is...
"stopping the drug can lead to suicidal thoughts..."
It goes on to say don't stop the drugs on your own, and consult your doctor if you have any side-affects....
I've helped tons of people at Harborview that were depressed...
THE PROBLEM IS, when they start feeling better, they think they are okay, and no longer need meds, so they stop taking them.
That can send them into a psychotic episode, or, further incite suicidal ideology...
Big Pharma hides this, and doctors go along out of fear that no one will take their meds, or want to start them...
