Should these events be strictly free or free minus ammo and range fee, or include paid classes? The backstory: A long time ago there was a Mosin–Nagant day at Renton fish and game, some one graciously offered one unopened spam can and use of there Mosin–Nagant if you did not have one to shoot. The also articulated the ceremonious opening of the can, witch I missed. Fast forward to today: I have an un-glorious opened spam cam mostly there and a Mosin–Nagant safe queen I have not fired yet. I was thinking it would be fun to have another Mosin–Nagant day at Renton fish and game only this time make it a charitable event as well. Enter the questions What cause? waguns, uso, nra, perhaps a member in need, or make it open to multiple causes? Should the donation be for ammo or a marksman challenge with the prize as bragging rights? Lastly most importantly is how many people are interested in a charity Mosin–Nagant day at Renton fish and game? Or should it just be a free minus range fee event?

If this ammo is donated again, with a Mosin availble to shoot... ,put the target out at 25 yards so that it will hold a group within 1 foot.

What did you do to your barrel? Put a ham inside then pull the bone out to tighten up that sloppy rifling?

Not a big admirer of mosin bayonets. Or the smle no 4 mk 1. Spike bayonets are just ugly. Give me a bayo from a 1903, 1917, 1898, no. 1 mark 3 or an arisaka 99, THOSE are bayonets! Especially that hellish 1898 butcher blade bayonet.

I managed to put 10 rounds on paper at 200 yards. I was pretty happy with myself that day.
And bayonets weren't meant to be pretty they were meant to kill people. Or be used as a screwdriver in some cases.

I did that shoot and realized I was +-6” at 50 yards. I then put in brass pillars, refinished the stock and beaded the action. Now I’m 2-3” at 100.

I've only had one Mosin that had trouble with keeping decent groups. Nikita, of "Nikita's Little Bulge".
Otherwise, 3"-4" at 100 yards is the norm.

I'm surprised by the hate. I have a sporterized mosin cut down to 17.5" in a monte carlo stock with a red dot mounted. A scout rifle of sorts. 2-3moa rifle and quite literally a blast to shoot. I had a range master come out of the shed at Kenmore and say "ok, exactly what the fuck are you shooting on my range?"
