NPR reported they could only confirm 11 out of the 235 reported school shootings. Really interesting article.

Interesting and NPR....now that's an oxymoron.
In the 90's I had the IT contract for several major library systems around the country. One day I was driving around from library to library and the only station that came in well out that way was NPR. Some hippy talking about harvesting sea cucumbers, 'cuces' he called them. There was one reporter on TV tonight that investigated, and had called a California school system, to ask how the mis-reporting could happen...
The response she got, was "that it was a coding error"... So, "if a student got caught with scissors, it was coded as if it were a gun incident..." WTF? No wonder kids come out with no sense, the admins don't have any.... |

I was switching between ABC, Fox, and local news at the time, while making dinner....one goes to commercial, and I switch over... When shitstains forwarded the numbers on school shootings, they included stuff like a warrant being served on a house with a guy shooting at a cop, and the house was in a school zone. A guy got robbed, using a firearm, in a school zone, and my favorite, a college student who was mugged, a block from campus who 'might have had a gun'....A suicide in a house..... a drug deal gone bad in the school parking lot @ 3am on saturday, etc etc.
