California lawmakers approve bill to require corporate boards to include women
Quote: Citing a lack of diversity in corporate boardrooms, state lawmakers on Thursday sent the governor a bill that would require women to be included on the boards of directors of firms headquartered in California. The bill would require that publicly held corporations headquartered in the state include at least one woman on boards of directors by the end of 2019, and at least two by July 2021. Corporate boards with six or more members would be required to have at least three women on the panels by the middle of 2021. Here's a refresher.... Looks like every CFO’s wife will have a spot on the board. They won’t be going to meetings though, hubby will fill them in. What a joke. This isn’t how you fix a broken state California.

So if CA can pass a silly law like this on a private corporation. Then why are they complaining when Trump threatens to tighten up the rules on Google, Twitter, and the like?

This is particularly ironic considering that something like nearly 50% of the state income tax in CA is paid by 1% of the population. Watch them flee and blow a hole in CA's budget.
