Except my Avatar, but that is a full size concept and I don't think it would succeed. The way the article is written, it seems that is a 2020. Just the drive gear hasn't been settled on yet. I could be wrong, though. I do not believe anything is official from Ford. The most I can find is Fords announcement of 5 new Global vehicles. The Ranger will be based off the one that sells in south America. I do not believe there is a small Bronco sold anywhere in the world, so they should have a clean slate. Using the Ranger drive line seems to be a good idea, but all new sheet metal would be a must. If they just take the ranger and make a 2 door bronco, ala 2 door Explorer, it will flop. I am 100% convinced from following the Ford forums, if it is not retro it will not do well. That artist rendering is bad ass, many of the others that have come out are horrendous like this.

Doesn’t take much to slay a newer Jeep. Early 90’s thru early 00’s Jeeps were ok. My folks Cherokee has a lot of miles on it, and is still going strong. The 4.0 was a solid motor. Just bad fuel economy. Same with their 07 Grand Cherokee. It’s been great. The newer Grand Cherokee and Cherokee are fugly housewife rides, and the newer V6 Wrangler’s are gutless and about as tough as an Ortega hard taco shell. Just got rid of my Wrangler Unlimited. Did great off road, but was a mechanic turd otherwise. I bought it with 700 miles, and got rid of it with 114,000. Worst vehicle I ever owned! I got an old Willy’s I need to start restoring. Now that was a Jeep!

Here is a bedtime story.
Not long ago in place where most of US consumers lived, there were some automobile companies known as the "Big Three". They built stuff that wasn't too bad and most buyers seemed to be happy with what they got for their money. Heck, the "buyer" actually had options to pick from. He pretty much could have the car made the way he wanted. Then, the evil one rose up from the darkness and started telling the "Big Three" what to do and the hell with the consumer. Greed was it's name. Greed started telling the consumer, "here is your car, take it or leave it." Well, this seemed to work for a while until the Japanese decided to build cars. They weren't that good at first but they were cheaper and year after year were getting better. Not to mention they offered options unlike the Amerikens. Sadly, one day the Amerikan car companies noticed they 1) Had too much stock left over 2) No one wanted to buy what they had and 3) They owed the banks lots and lots of money... Fast forward a little: The Amerikan auto's went back to serving the consumer. (the way it's suppose to be) Apparently they didn't learn jack from their previous mistake because they are in the same spot as they were that started this whole pile of shit. Back to square one. HERE IS YOUR FUCKING CAR. TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.
(I forgot to put in the story somewhere about the "To big to fail" BS but you get the meaning)

That is very confusing. You have been able to special order cars from the big 3 all through the 60's 70's and 80's. And the first Japanese cars imported to the US were way better as far as reliability goes than any US car and they were all the same. Almost no options other than color. Every 70's Civic I have ever seen was exactly the same other than color. Now the Korean cars were absolute garbage when they started importing them in the 90's. And they were mostly the same, very few options. Maybe manual or auto, and power windows or not. There are only two reasons import cars ever got a foot hold in the US market, reliability, fuel economy. You have always had a shit ton of options in the US car market. I am just giving you a little shit back. Your story sounds a little more like Apple started out. Fuck you, you get one phone option, take it or leave it!

I have been a FORD owner all my life but I have no bought a NEW Ford since 1990, a F-250 CC, long bed with a 460 foe towing my 34' travel trailer. Its the only lemon I've ever owned but 1979 was the last year Ford made a "GOOD" truck. Will buy into the new age 40 computer, self parallel parking POS's that all car companies push... did I mention the all look damn near the same, like shit?
