Didn't know if this should be in the BOLO section, but thought it should be mentioned in general. If you haven't watched the state news there is a guy running around Thurston County mutilating cats. He is up to 13, they are becoming more frequent and he is killing them in slower and worse ways. My concern is this person is going to move up to dogs, or possibly young kids. There is a $36,000 reward out for info and capture of this individual. I hope they are found soon before they kill more and/or move to larger targets.

My daughter has been keeping our cats indoors.

Someone, somewhere knows something. He's not just killing the cats, he's mutilating them--surgically removing spines and internal organs before putting the bodies on display in public places, per NBC's coverage. The level of attention to detail, and the need for the thrill of putting the bodies on display, is what is so terribly disturbing.

This guy will escalate, if he hasn't already done so. He'll move on to women next--probably easy pickings, like prostitutes--and maybe he stays there, maybe he escalates. Robert Pickton stayed there, killing untold numbers of prostitutes from Vancouver and disposing of their bodies on his pig farm near Port Coquitlam.

My prayer is that someone puts two and two together and says something to authorities before this guy becomes our own Pickton.

The cops REALLY want to find this guy. He (most likely) fits every profile of a serial killer in training. There is a task force and I believe with the donations Thurston County is getting, they are going to up the reward. Somebody knows something, somebody has seen something, hopefully enough money will encourage them to do the right thing.

I bet he is related to one of the orginal victims. Most likely a son. I have a feeling he killed his family cat, and isn't under any suspicion. Put on a big show for his parents and police and nobody is looking his way. Now he feels like he could keep it going. My guess is he could be as young as 16 and for sure lives at home. White,and another bet he has been caught doing similar compulsive / psycho behavior before. Now that the media is covering it and everybody is worked up and scared he is just getting amped up and looking to graduate. I just get a feeling he is for sure one of the cat owners that played victim.

Because it crazy unlikely its a female. But you do make a point, it could be female. Bet you 60 rounds of 9mm that the killer is male though.

This is typical early behavior of a serial killer...

Over 90% of serial killers are male, ....

Oddly enough, just over 50% are white, so taking that ammo bet might not be a bad idea...

Female serial killers tend to start from a point of abuse later on, so the animal torture thing is far less a precursor....usually, it's sexual abuse.
