I've seen my share of action movies, and most are run and gun with an endless mag that holds well beyond what it should. Usually most shots are head shots, or kill shots to the chest. Always center mass or between the eyes on the forehead. Enter John Wick. After watching both I noticed he was using a low high technique. He would take out a leg or shoot the lower abdomen followed with a head shot. Granted he was shooting most henchmen at very close range, and was a trained killer. My question is his low to high shooting technique something that is trained somewhere? I know for the movies he went through a lot of weapons training. I would think it wouldn't be as effective, but if you are looking for a distraction it makes sense. Ammo wise, not so much, especially if you miss on your initial shot. I know its just a movie, but thoughts?

On paper, a distracting/debilitating shot to the gut/chest to get them in shock, followed by a slightly slower aimed shot to the head for a kill shot, makes sense.
BUT.... It's movies...
Closest to that, that I'm aware of, is the Mozambique, or failure to stop.... 2 to the chest, and if still coming, 1 to the head.
The transition from chest to head is supposed to be if the guy is wearing armor or the guy is coked out of his mind and chest shots are not effective enough to stop the threat quick enough....
I'm not aware of Mozambique being taught in large numbers, or if it is, I've yet to see it advertised.
I will say that, Keanu is an amazing person, and an amazing actor, and the shooting training I've seen him do, would probably whip 99% of the members here...
