I've been watching the Senate USSC confirm hearings when I've had time, like many of you probably have been doing as well. The screaming protests during yesterday's session were funny for all of about 30 seconds. Then, they just pissed me off.
But today, in a different hearing in the House, something slightly amusing happened. Apparently this woman was making a scene during Dorsey's hearing, and one of the committee members just happened to be a long-time auction house owner, and auction caller. At the end, his "I yield back" was priceless....

Just like interfering with a public mode of transportation, there should be a swift and SEVERE financial penalty and even criminal penalties for causing intentional disturbances during these official meetings and business dealings.
Factor, each of these representatives probably earns $1000 per day of our tax dollars. The building costs millions to maintain. That "hearing" probably represents $50,000 for the day in costs and security, etc.
Break that down per minute of wasted time and it's significant and these interruptions should not be allowed without stiff penalties.
Do this stuff on purpose, minimum $10,000 fine and 30 days in jail.

One of my previous managers used to talk about this. "There are 15 of us in this meeting, we all make this much per hour, we've been here for an hour just BS'ing about crap. What a waste of our companies money.
