We going to hear more about it? Buddy of mine came over to build his first Casper receiver. Took a couple three/4 sessions. Good thing he went to Swift Tool for 2 new endmills before he started. Its a good one though...it'll work fine. He's had it since 10/30/2013. ...that's the postage date on the package from ARES. Way before the ATFEEEE kicked in their doors.

Ares used to be a cool shop. Around that time all sorts of stuff went wrong there including run ins with the BATFE, the former Ruby Ridge assassin/San Diego County Sheriff Gore, and the San Diego city hall. Then the staff sort of cannibalized each other; lots of infighting.
Then name changes, which always seem to sacrifice brand loyalty. (They're now American Weapons Components - they head guy's mom lives in Kirkland somewhere. He promised me a beer next time he came to visit her... but you know how promises like that are...)

Sold two nice modern wheel guns to two nice gentlemen here.
Looking now to post two more for sale, two vintage S&W revolvers this time, 50 and 66 years old respectively, a .38 and a .22. Wonder if there is still interest for old P&R S&W wheel guns around here? Guess I'll discover that soon.

This showed up today. It’s older. Don’t know much about it other than it’s a Ruger. Especially how to reassemble it. I hate having to watch a video on something that should be simple. It’s in rough shape. It’s possible it’s the pistol I learned to shoot with. Sentimental value may be worth sending it to someone for refinish.

You can likely spend a few dollars less if you leave it dissembled before handing it over to someone to refinish.

Funny you should suggest that...
It’s not a 1911, but would you be interested?
