Ares used to be a cool shop. Around that time all sorts of stuff went wrong there including run ins with the BATFE, the former Ruby Ridge assassin/San Diego County Sheriff Gore, and the San Diego city hall. Then the staff sort of cannibalized each other; lots of infighting.
Then name changes, which always seem to sacrifice brand loyalty. (They're now American Weapons Components - they head guy's mom lives in Kirkland somewhere. Sold two nice modern wheel guns to two nice gentlemen here.
Looking now to post two more for sale, two vintage S&W revolvers this time, 50 and 66 years old respectively, a .38 and a .22. Wonder if there is still interest for old P&R S&W wheel guns around here? Guess I'll discover that soon. |

Did my weekly Cleaning and oiling of my Springfield, my Mossberg Patriot, my BLR, all my Pistols and revolvers (living at the beach keeps me cleaning everything once a week). Wood Stocks get their BLO wipe down.

This showed up today. It’s older. Don’t know much about it other than it’s a Ruger. Especially how to reassemble it. I hate having to watch a video on something that should be simple. It’s in rough shape. It’s possible it’s the pistol I learned to shoot with. Sentimental value may be worth sending it to someone for refinish.
